about

Written & recorded in summer of 2011 as an ode to Steve's favourite method-of-transportation!

lyrics

I ride my bike on the road
And I don't like to ride slow
But I take in what's around
When I bike around town
I see the world outside the box
When I'm not trapped inside a truck

I get miles to the gallon of water
I get out what I put in - in terms of power
I can experience the land that I travel
When I ride my bicycle

On a warm bright sunny day
I like to ride around my city
And as I approach the bay
I feel the wind in my face
It cools me down and charges me up
To pedal harder and not to give up

I get miles to the gallon of water
I get out what I put in - in terms of power
I can experience the land that I travel
When I ride my bicycle

I can help communities
I can improve air quality
Less cancer and disease
Walkability increased
When our city streets
Become emissions free
Just cyclists and buses
No longer car congested

I get miles to the gallon of water
I get out what I put in - in terms of power
I can experience the land that I travel
When I ride my bicycle
